Lorraine Satalino Obituary

Lorraine Satalino, 64, of Newington, died on May 6, 2025 after a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer.  She was the wife of the late Richard Satalino.  Lorraine was born in New Britain on June 5, 1960 to the late John Kasak.  Lorraine had a passion for gardening and flowers, which led her to work in a flower shop for many years. In more recent times, she was a familiar face at Public Market of Newington.  Lorraine had a love for the family pets, especially her cats, Charlie and Finnegan.


Lorraine leaves behind two children; Sara Furtak and her husband Daniel, and their soon-to-be daughter Ella Furtak, and her son Michael Satalino and his wife, Leighann, and their children, Emma and Sam.  She also leaves her sisters, Laura Hines, Louise Kasak, and Linda Cyr. 


Lorraine will always be remembered as a proud wife, mother, and grandmother to all that loved her. Lorraine’s family invites family and friends to attend a service at St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain, on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 11 a.m..  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her name to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd., Newington, CT 06111.
