
Obituary of Patricia Scarlett
Patricia (Young) Scarlett, 84, of New Britain, died Wednesday (Feb. 5, 2025) at the Hospital of central Connecticut. Born in England, the daughter of the late Charles and Rose (McCarrick) Young, she came to this country in 1962 and lived in New Britain since that time. She was the wife of the late James Scarlett. She was employed as the Office Manager at the Farrell Treatment Center for many years and was a member of the New Britain Lodge Elks 957.
Mrs. Scarlett is survived by her daughter Debra Scarlett and her fiance’ Steven Archaski; her grandchildren James Searle and his wife Karli, Amanda Searle and her husband Ryan Alexander, and Zachary Searle; her sister and best friend Rosalene Birtles and her husband Stephen; her great grandchildren Alexander and Stanley Searle; her niece Maxine Talbot and her husband, Frank, and their children, Samantha and Jake.
Pat was known for her love of traveling, love of her friends, and especially the love she had for her family who will miss her terribly forever.
Funeral services will be held Monday (Feb. 24, 2025) with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 AM at St. Maurice Church 100 Wightman Road New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain.
