I met "Fern" at the Berlin Bowl many years ago. Always smiling, joking, and laughing, Fern was also a fierce competitor. His famous "power backup ball" thrilled teammates and competitors alike with some of the most strange, action-packed strikes ever! He and I were "Instant Friends" and had a great relationship while bowling. He mentioned to me several times while competing against our "loud & lively" team..."I like bowling you guys! You have lots of fun!" And so did he...making people laugh! Rest in peace, old friend!
