To the Hollfelder Family: I can not think of one person that emulated generosity and kindness more than Mr. Hollfelder. To me, Mr. Hollfelder represented a true gentleman, one who had a deep passion for helping others. His work, as outlined in the obituary, can only be described by the word ‘incredible.’ Whether it was supporting my mission trips abroad or helping my family in a time of need, Mr. Hollfelder represented a strong shoulder to lean on for our family. I knew I could always call Mr. Hollfelder (except when women’s basketball was on) and he would always listen to what I would have to say. He was always there for support and would give advice where it was needed. From the time I first met Mr. Hollfelder to the last dinner I had with him before the start of my sophomore year at UConn, I always looked at him as a positive role model in my life and in return he treated me like I was his own. I will be forever grateful for his continuous love and support to my family and I. My prayers and condolences go out to the Hollfelder Family. I am deeply sorry for your loss.
