Carmen E. Rodriguez, 67, of Middletown, CT passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023, after a short battle with cancer.

Carmen is survived by her two daughters, Miriam M. Rodriguez-Santiago and husband Obdulio Santiago Jr. and Marisa Reyes and husband Jeff Gacek, three sisters and one brother, Ada N. Aponte, Luis A. Rodriguez, Ada I. Rodriguez, and Evelyn Rodriguez, and 7 grandkids.

Carmen was strong-willed and stubborn at times, but she also had an enormous heart and a wonderful sense of humor. She was generous, loyal, and brave. She was clever and full to the brim of knowledge gained through all of her life experiences. As much as she loved her family, Carmen loved her pet cats the most, Cosmo and Gracie.

Carmen enjoyed her hobbies which include making hot sauce, art and crafts, and gardening. Carmen always said she did not want people crying during her funeral instead to celebrate her life.

Her celebration of life will be Friday (July 7, 2023) at 11:00 AM at the  Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery 120 Smalley St. New Britain. Visitation will be Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
