Obituary of Simone Fongemie

Simone (Chasse) Fongemie, 82, of New Britain, died Friday (March 8, 2013). Born in Frenchville, Maine, the daughter of the late Denis and Marie Chasse, she lived in New Britain since 1962. Mrs. Fongemie is survived by two granddaughters, Leah and her husband Tufic Adib Paone, and Haley Fongemie; two great grandsons, Evan and Owen Paone, of Kensington; two sisters, Lillian Bouchard of Berlin, and Jeanne and her husband John Dennette of Maine; and a brother Patrick and his wife Alice Chasse of Maine, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Mark and his wife Linda Fongemie of Kensington and her longtime friend Leon McDuffee of New Britain. Funeral services will be held Wednesday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM at St. Paul's Church Kensington. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
