Obituary of June B. McCarthy

June B. (Bianco) McCarthy, 90, of Berlin, died Wednesday (Apr. 4, 2018) at the Jerome Home. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy (Foldan) Bianco, she lived in Berlin since 1980. She was the wife of the late Richard F. McCarthy, who died April 25, 2009.  A former employee of the New Britain Bank and Trust (now Bank of America) June was an active member of Sacred Heart Church in East Berlin and an avid golfer at Timberlin Golf Course in Berlin.

Mrs. McCarthy is survived by her daughter Lynn Lewis of Guilford, a son Kevin and his wife Ursula McCarthy of Melrose MA, two grandson, Sean and his wife Dawn Lewis of Londonderry, NH, and Adam and his wife Miriam Lewis of Bloomfield, CT; two great granddaughters Tenley June and Cora Marie; a great grandson Owen David and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday (April 11, 2018) at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church 48 Cottage St. East Berlin. Burial will follow in Maple Cemetery, Berlin. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin sq. New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Resident Activities of Arbour Rose 975 Corbin Ave. New Britain, CT 06052 or to Meals on Wheels of New Britain 200 Myrtle Street New Britain, CT 06053.
