Lucille (Pagani) Boynton, 89, of New Britain, died August 4, 2017 at Jerome Home with her two nieces by her side. Lucille was born in New Britain on November 11, 1927, and lived in New Britain most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Louis Pagani and Mary Frances (Foldan) Pagani. She was the wife of the late Frank Boynton. She was predeceased by her sister Olga (Pagani) Bigley and a brother John A. Pagani. She was also predeceased by her first husband Frank McGuiness.

Lucille was a graduate of New Britain High School and worked for the New Britain Gas Light Company which was acquired by Connecticut Natural Gas Corporation as a secretary in the Sales Department. She retired in 1990 after many years of service. She also belonged to various women’s clubs and was active at St. Maurice Church. Lucille was a faithful fan of the UConn Women’s Basketball Team and never failed to miss watching a game. She was a soft spoken, kind, compassionate woman. Her gentile and kind ways endeared her to the wonderful doctors, nurses, aides and all the other caregivers at Jerome Home who took care of her when she was no longer able to live unassisted.

She is survived by her two nieces Patricia A. Pagani (Kenneth Fernino) and Maureen P. Ludko (George), her great nephew Christopher Ludko and great niece Elena Curry (James). She is also survived by her stepchildren Kathleen Ballou (Bruce) of Vermont, Jean Langlois (Paul) of Massachusetts, Kenneth Boynton (Janice) of Vernon, Randolph Boynton of Florida, Valerie Plummer (Wayne) of Massachusetts and Cynthia Blackham (William) of Colchester. She also leaves several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren and many cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday (Aug .8 ,2017) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Maurice Church 100 Wightman Road New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Tuesday from 8:30 AM to 9:30 Am at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ST. Maurice Church or the Office of Radio and Television 15 Peach Orchard Road, Prospect, Connecticut 06712-1052.
