Ralph L . Boissonault passed peacefully into the arms of his savior, on July 20, 2017, with his loving wife, Gertrude and family close to his side.
Ralph was born February 8, 1931 in New Britain, CT. He was the son of Ferdinand Boissonault and Claudia (Cadrain) Boissonault. He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Rita (Boissonault) Bohegian. He leaves his beloved wife of 64 yrs., Gertrude (Trudy) Boissonault who was the absolute pride and joy of his life. He also leaves his children: Debra Marquis-Cascio & Greg Cascio, Audrey Rival & Tom Rival, and David Boissonault & Shell Boissonault, 4 grandchildren: Danielle Holton, Melissa Marquis, Meghan Corriveau, and Eric Corriveau and 3 great children: Elizabeth & Gabriel Holton and Ronan Pettaway.
Ralph retired from the New Britain Herald after many years of dedicated service. After retirement he began working for Farrell Funeral Home where he spent several years working both inside and outside as well as driving. He had a kind heart and was friendly to all he met. He was active in many religious and civic organizations including St. Jean de Baptiste, the French Club and various golf leagues. He was an avid golfer. The greatest love of his life after Trudy, was the golf course where he finally got his hole in one before finally giving the sport up later in life. He and Trudy spent many winters with friends in Florida enjoying golf and surf. He was a sports lover and a lover of people. He was quick to help anyone in need and seemed to know most everyone in town. His quick wit and warm smile will be missed by many.
We, the family of Ralph, would like to thank all the dedicated professionals at The Village at Kensington Place, The Jerome Home, and most recently, The Alzheimer's Resource Center, for your loving care and support through these past several years.
