Mary Ellen Vaznelis, 93, formerly of New Britain, died Monday (June 12, 2017) at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late John and Adele Vaznelis, she lived most of her life in New Britain. After attending local schools, she graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Research. She was employed for many years by the Federal Government, at the Veteran’s Administration.
