Marian Ladas, 74, of Berlin, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, April 30, 2017, at Hartford Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. A longtime resident of Berlin, she was employed for many years as a delivery driver for the New Britain Herald. 

Marian was an enthusiastic tennis fan who enjoyed watching matches on television.  She also loved taking trips to Martha’s Vineyard with her family.  Marian was a member of St. Paul’s Church in Kensington.

Marian is survived by her three sons, Mark and Peter Ladas both of Berlin and Raymond Petocchi and his wife Valerie of East Hampton. Her four grandchildren, Suzy and her fiancé Edward, Peter Ladas, Jr, and Ryan and Devin Petocchi; three great grandchildren, Edward III, Jeszya, and Ziahrose. She also leaves two brothers, Robert Sarisky and George Karlan both of New Britain.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 48 Cottage Street, East Berlin.  Burial will follow in Wilcox Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 8:30-9:30 AM at the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Square, New Britain.
