Obituary of Marion M. Valentine

Marion M. Valentine of New Britain died Monday, April 17, 2017, at the Jerome Home in New Britain. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late August and Margaret (Grigutis) Valentine, she was a lifelong resident. A teacher in the New Britain School system, she taught for 35 years at Northend Elementary School. A lifelong member of St. Andrew Church, she also belonged to its Rosary Society and the New Britain Council of Catholic Women. Marion is survived by her uncle Albin Gregg of Delaware and many cousins, with whom she had a close relationship. Friends and family are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Thursday April 20, 2017, at 10:30 AM at St. Andrew Church, 396 Church St., New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Andrew Church, P.O. Box 515, New Britain, CT 06050.
