Obituary of Thomas N. Schenck

Thomas N. Schenck, 74, of New Britain, died Friday (Jan. 6, 2017) at home. Born in New Britain, the son of the late Thomas G. and Florence (Norden) Schenck he lived most of his life in New Britain. As an appraiser, Tom was the Vice President of R.M. Bradley Company in Boston for many years. Upon retirement, he then opened his own appraisal company in Hartford. He was a long time member of the Boston Rotary Club and the New Britain-Berlin Rotary Club, where he served on the Literacy Committee. Tom is survived by his wife, Jacqueline (Shields) Schenck; a step-daughter, Amy Aouad of New Britain; a grandson, Troy Kinderlan; a brother Lawrence Robert Schenck of Los Angeles, CA; and his cousins, Audrey and Edmond Vianney, of Wallingford and their family, Wade Vianney, Edmond and his wife Nancy Vianney, Brett and his wife Molly Vianney and Martha Vianney Beale. Funeral services will be held Tuesday (Jan. 10, 2016) with a service at 11:00 AM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 11 :00 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
