Obituary of Philippe J. Albert

Philippe J. Albert, 92, of New Britain, died Friday Night (Nov. 18, 2016) at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain. Born in Township Twenty, Maine, the son of the late Arthur and Georgina (Guerret) Albert, he lived most of his life in New Britain. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II as a surgical technician. Philippe was employed at Stanley Works for 30 years, and was a member of the New Britain Senior Center. Mr. Albert is survived by his wife Nancy (Carroll) Albert; his daughter, Gail and her husband Walt Laviana of Meriden; his son Kevin and his wife Danielle Albert of New Britain; three grandsons, Matthew Laviana, Kenneth Albert and Steven Albert; two sisters Georgette Castonquay of Springfield,MA, and Jacqueline Teterault of Alberta, Canada and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday (Nov. 22, 2016) at 10:00 AM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Burial with military honors, will follow in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VA Medical Center Newington 555 Willard Ave. Newington, CT 06111.
