Nick entered my life during summer baseball when he played for a team at Washington School and I played at Walnut Hill park. Later on we played against each other when Nick was the catcher for Goodwin Tech and I was the second baseman for New Britain High School. We also played basketball together on a team at the Boys Club on a team coached by his uncle, Sal Criniti. High School was different in those days. Would you believe that Fraternities and Sororities existed. Nick and another close friend, Bob Warnat, palled together in Theta Sigma Fraternity during our high school years. Nick was one of the finest persons I have ever enjoyed being with. God rest the soul of this gentleman Christian.
