It hasn’t been easy coming to terms with the passing of Maryjayne. You can’t put into a paragraph what she has meant to me going back to when we were teenagers. How we would have wonderful laughs and sometimes I loved her and sometimes I wanted to strangle her, mostly loved her. She wanted us when we got older to sit on a bench in Central Park in downtown New Britain and we would have little wrinkled brown lunch bags filled with old love letters and photos and when we would pick out items we would wonder who this person was and then we would laugh and laugh. We didn’t get to do this but in my heart we have. Mostly what I will always remember about Maryjayne was that she had a swagger {before she lost her leg) when she walked. She would role her feet in a certain way and she always knew when she walked away you were watching. I’m sure she has her swagger back now. Rest in piece my friend.

With my sympathy to the family: I’ve known MaryJayne since high school and Bernie & my friendship continued with her & Butch for many years. Her warmth & kindness shined brightly. May your memories bring you peace. Certainly she’s watching down on all of you, especially her children. She wouldn’t want to miss anything! Thoughts & prayers, Judie McKinnon

Maryjayne was like a sister to me for 59 years. We raised our children in New Britain and we babysat for each other. I lived in her house on Corbin Ave and we always had a a wonderful time with the children at the beach house in the summer. She gave me and my kids a summer vacation. Always a giving person to friends. There will never be another friend like Maryjayne. I will miss her every day. May God take her into his loving arms and give her peace. I love you Jayne.

We were as close as two cousins could be. I have loving memories over the couse of 74 years. We shared so much - Our grandmother, parents, cousins, and friends. Times together - dinner every Sunday, summers at the beach, St.Patrick's Day at the Hibernian Club, the list goes on. I will never forget you. Tell my Mom and your Mom how much I miss them. Your loving cousin, Mary Kay
