Obituary of Diane A Dwyer

Diane Alderuccio Dwyer, 71, of Kensington passed away Monday, October 3 at Hospital of Central Connecticut surrounded by her family. The daughter of the late Florence (Sorice) and Joseph Alderuccio. She lived in New Britain and Kensington her entire life. Diane enjoyed spending time with her family, using her tablet, family game nights, Bingo, Yahtzee, search a word, bird watching, day trips, shopping, doing crafts, walking on the Westbrook and Clinton Beaches, riding in Antique cars, and special phone calls and visits from her cousins. Through several years of illness, Diane always held her head high and always maintained a brave and cheerful outlook. Diane has always been the true definition of what a Mother, Sister, Cousin, and Friend should be, always concerned about others and always giving an outpouring of love, showing the strength of a Family. Diane is survived by her brother Thomas (Tommy) Alderuccio of Thailand, a son Craig Dwyer of Kensington, a daughter Michelle Fetterman and her husband Jason of Berlin, a daughter Lori Dwyer and her companion Woodie Stark of Kensington, and her 4 legged Grandsons Moose, Gizmo & Chewy. Funeral services will be held Friday (Oct 7.) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 at St. Paul's Church 461 Alling Street Berlin. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery New Britain. Calling hours will be held Friday (Oct 7) from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Square New Britain from 9:30 until the time of Mass. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the entire staff at the Hospital of Central Connecticut Dialysis Unit who provided her with such loving care. Also to the team who provided her care in the CCU. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
