Please share a memory of Sheila to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sheila (Wilks) Pinto, 77, of New Britain on Saturday, May 28, 2016. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Hudak) Wilks, Sheila was a lifelong resident and a longtime member of St. Jerome Parish. She was employed for many years at the Meadowland Restaurant, Roofers Union Local #9 and retired from the Stanley Works Credit Union. An avid UCONN woman's basketball fan, she enjoyed traveling and loved the beach. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Sheila is survived by her two daughters Lynn Cantafi and her husband Thomas of Berlin, Lisa Scotella and her husband Jerry of Bristol; her brother Joel Wilks and his wife Lynne of East Hampton; 4 adored grandchildren, Jenifer Hinchcliffe-Hughes, Jason Hinchcliffe and his fiancé Jessica Kasprzyk, Kelly Cantafi and Kaitlyn Cantafi; her daughter of the heart, Lauren Johnson; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, the love of her life, V. Michael Pinto and her sister Dianne Gelazin. The family would like to thank the Hartford Hospital Palliative Care Team and staff of the Bliss building for their care and support. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 9:00 AM from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Jerome Church 1010 Slater Road New Britain. Entombment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery Garden Mausoleum.
