Obituary of Mary C. Rogan

Mary C. (Hunt) Rogan, 90, of Kensington, died Monday (Aug. 7, 2017) at the Worthington Manor in East Berlin. Born in Chadderton, Lancashire, England, she came to the United States in 1954. She was employed as a secretary at Tuttle & Balley, St. Paul’s Church and at the Aetna Insurance Company, where she was involved with the Literacy Volunteers. She was also a member of Austrian Donau Society.


Mrs. Rogan is survived by her husband Joseph A. Rogan, four sons, David Rogan and his wife, Grace of Berlin, John Rogan and his wife Cheryl of Salem, NH, Peter Rogan and his wife Kathleen of Vernon, CT and Michael Rogan and his wife Donna of Berlin; 7 grandchildren, Brian Rogan, Benjamin Rogan, Erin Henry, Gabriel Rogan, Renée Rogan, Tommy Rogan and Sara Rogan; her nieces and nephews, Peter Hunt, Christopher Hunt, Pamela Hunt and Maria Nash, all of England. She was predeceased by a grandson, Christopher Rogan and a brother Francis Hunt.


Funeral services will be held Saturday (Aug. 12, 2017) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM at St. Paul’s Church, Kensington. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain.
