Obituary of Marion F. Giroux

Marion Giroux (Wolf), 83, entered eternal life after a short illness on Thursday January 12, 2017. Marion leaves her beloved husband Raymond of almost 60 years. Born February 8, 1933 in New Britain, CT to Charles and Mary Wolf. Marion worked as the Executive Secretary to the Vice President of Stanley Works New Britain. Marion is survived by her husband Raymond, children Debbie McLarty and her husband Steven of Kensington, Susan Birch and her husband Jim of South Windsor, Bill Giroux and wife Sabrina of Jacksonville Florida; Grandchildren- Sean Haber and his wife Laura; Kristin Birch and fiancé’ Aaron Hickey, Nicholas Haber and fiancé’ Elizabeth Gingrave, Geoff Birch and wife Elizabeth, Sarah McLarty, Courtney Giroux, Brendan McLarty, Haley Birch, Cassidy Giroux, and Chloe Giroux. Great grandchild Grant Haber and many nieces, nephews and friends. Marion is preceded in death by her son Danny Giroux, parents Charles and Mary Wolf and her siblings Ernie, Carl and Emil. Funeral services will be held Friday (Jan. 20, 2017) 9:00 AM from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Peter Church 98 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Visitation will be held Thursday (Jan. 19) from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
