Irene (Yacheski) Gaber, 83, of Plantsville, died Tuesday (Jan. 10, 2017) at an area convalescent home. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Pauline (Bielski) Yacheski. She was the wife of the late Harry M. Gaber, who died Oct. 9, 2012. During her career, she was a secretary at Lake Eylet, retiring 13 years ago. Mrs. Gaber is survived by her children Gary and his wife Geri Gaber, Robert and his wife Lisa Gaber, Kevin and his wife Billie Gaber, all of Southington, and Christine and her husband Curtis Nulsen of Missouri; grandchildren Steven and Laura Gaber, Susan and Eric Gibree, Kenneth and Megan Gaber, Robert and Cindy Gaber, Michelle Gaber and Nicole and Emilee Nulsen; 5 great grandsons and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday (Jan. 14, 2017) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Peter Church 98 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Burial will be private. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00AM until the time of the Mass at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 825 Brook St, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
